Overview

Welcome to the Personal Inventory
In the program you can store as much or as little information about your personal possessions as you wish.
It is unlikely that you would want to store details of every item that you possess, but at least log the details of the most precious.
Suppose you were unfortunate enough to be burgled, could you remember all of your music collection or your videos. Most insurance companies will happily replace your belongings and on a like for like basis but only if you can identify them.
Likewise what about all of your other valuables and important documents. 'Personal Inventory' allows you to store the details safely and securely.
The data is scrambled so it can't be read by anyone else.  The system is accessible only by your own password and user ID.
Every time that you exit from the programme it takes a backup copy of your data and pictures. You can copy these files to a CD ROM or other memory device and store them remotely, many people store the CD ROM in the shed or at a friends house. Nobody else can get access to the data so it's perfectly safe. That way even if someone steals your computer as well you still have a record of all you valuables and important documents.

This is the homescreen, from here you can navigate to anywhere in the program. It is visible most of the time and the buttons can be clicked on at any time.

Each of the subject buttons represents a different type of item that you may wish to store data about. With the exception of the software option photographs can be added to any stored item.
